Welcome to Screen Notify ("we", "our", or "us"). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how Screen Notify processes information when you install and use our Android mobile application.

By downloading and using Screen Notify, you agree to the processing practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with any terms, please do not install or use the application.

2. Notification Access & Prominent Disclosure

Screen Notify relies on the Android NotificationListenerService API to perform its primary function: triggering custom screen alerts, flashing visuals, playing custom sounds, or vibrating when you receive notifications from other applications.

Prominent Disclosure Dialog: Prior to requesting this permission, Screen Notify displays a prominent, blocking disclosure modal. This modal details exactly what notification events are read, why the permission is required, and confirms that all parsing occurs locally. The operating system permission prompt will only appear after you review and accept this disclosure.

CRITICAL PRIVACY ASSURANCE:

  • Local Processing Only: All notification interception, reading, and parsing occur entirely and exclusively on your physical mobile device.
  • No Data Sharing: None of the notification content (such as sender name, message body, contact names, or app origins) is ever sent to external servers, cloud databases, developers, or any third party.
  • No Background Collection: We do not log or track notifications in the background for analytical purposes. Once a notification is dismissed or processed locally, it is cleared from immediate visual triggers unless you explicitly configure a local log.

3. Local Data Storage & User Data Deletion

Screen Notify stores your configuration preferences, customized alert rules, and selected settings locally on your device.

  • Database: We use lightweight and secure local storage mechanisms (such as Hive or Isar) that reside directly inside your app directory.
  • No User Accounts: We do not require or support user account registration, cloud syncing, or profile creations on external databases.
  • User Data Deletion Option: In compliance with global data protection standards, we provide a dedicated "Delete All Data" button directly within the application settings screen. Confirming this action will permanently delete all configuration rules, custom filters, local log files, and alert history stored on your device.
  • VIP Subscription Cache: Executing this in-app data deletion will preserve the local VIP subscription cache (associated with RevenueCat/Google Play) to ensure you do not lose your premium status.
  • App Uninstall: Uninstalling Screen Notify will also permanently erase all local application preferences and saved alert templates.

5. Third-Party Services

To support development and provide advanced features, we integrate specific third-party services. These companies have their own privacy policies governing data usage:

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the free version. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, advertising IDs, system usage stats, and approximate geographic location to deliver relevant ads and combat fraud. Read Google's Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage VIP subscription statuses and secure premium in-app billing rules. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous identifier to manage your subscription states but does not collect billing information (which is processed strictly by Google Play). Read RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Google Play Billing

All payments, subscriptions, and purchases are processed directly by Google Play. We do not collect, view, or store credit card details or billing credentials.

6. Data Security

Since we do not run remote web servers, your configuration files and notifications are protected by the Android sandbox system, which prevents unauthorized apps from accessing Screen Notify files. We encourage users to maintain official device security patches to keep local databases secure.

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly or actively gather any information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, please contact us so we can verify and ensure proper security.
